It's good to know that even in the face of the drama and unpredictability of March Madness, there are still some things that we can count on: taxes and the continuing losing habits of the New Jersey Nets. I don't know if it is more fun to see them lose because (my former team) the Philadelphia 76ers currently hold the record for having the worst season ever or that it's just nice to have something to rely on in basketball. I bet Vince Carter the happiest person in this situation as he jumped from that sinking ship into an apparently rising one in the Orlando Magic. Probably the smartest career move he's ever made.
Chris Sheridan recently did a piece for Truehoop on the Nets' 62nd loss which really represented a microcosm of their season to date. You can read it here.
