The former Detroit Shock, now Tulsa Shock announced the signing of former gold medalist, and recently disgraced sprinter Marion Jones coming off of a recent six month stint in prison for lying to the feds about her illegal use of performance-enhancing drugs and her role in a scam involving check fraud. You have to wonder why would a team really sign a woman who hasn’t played really competitive basketball in 16 years (starting point guard on NCAA champion UNC in 1994) and had her peak at the Sidney Olympics a decade ago? Seems like a publicity stunt to me… No disrespect but, for some reason, I still feel like people aren’t gonna watch. Yahoo
